  • Worked on a Angular webapp with a team of developers and management, with weekly scrum meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Assisted in refactoring and generalizing Angular components improved the readability and efficiency of the code base, reducing loading time.
  • AngularJS and Tailwind CSS were used to create components to redesign the website's blog page and boost scalability.

Improving diagnosis of diabetes retinopathy using OCT images utilizing deep learning

Undergraduate Researcher

April 2022 - Present

  • Carrying out ongoing thesis research work to compare conventional diagnosis methods to novel methods such as the Image Projection Network method, a novel deep learning approach using convolutional neural networks (CNN's).
  • Fine tuning and optimizing models to create a pipeline that allows for clinicians to use aforementioned models to aid in diagnosis.
  • Training various models (based on TensorFlow and Pytorch) with novel datasets to study biases and accuracy.
  • Produced detailed research proposal in LaTeX

  • Frontend done using Next.js, while user authentication and email verification for signing up was done using AWS Amplify. Backend was done using GraphQL API.
